Since Aranav won by margin of 8 votes so Arnav have 8 fixed votes.
Total student =62
Arnav fixed votes=62-8=54
Now ,
condition states that there are only 62 students and Arnav won by more 8 votes than tushar ,
Now 54÷2=27
So ,Tushar got total 27 votes.

x + y = 62
x = y - 8
y - 8 + y = 62
2y = 70
y = 35
and
x = 35 - 8
x = 27
x = y - 8
y - 8 + y = 62
2y = 70
y = 35
and
