for this question there is a formula ,
t1/t2 = (a2/a1)^n-1
where,
t1 and t 2 represent the time,
a 1 and a2 represent the volume or pressure ( in some cases)
and n is the order
so,
4/2 = (100/50)^n-1
2. = (2 )^ n-1
now the bases are equal ...so equate the powers
n-1 =1
n. = 2
therefore it is a second order reaction
