<b>Heya mate. (^_-). Solution below.✓

★ Q. - The dimensions of an oil tin are 60 cm × 35 cm × 24 cm.
(i) Find the area of tin sheet required for making 40 such tins.
(ii) Further, if 1 m² of tin sheet costs Rs. 25, find the cost of making 40 tins.

★ Ans. -

♦ Given,
length (l) = 60 cm
breadth (b) = 35 cm
height (h) = 24 cm

♦ Area of tin sheet required for making 1 tin,
= Total surface area (T.S.A) of one tin
= 2 (lb + bh + hl)
= 2 [(60 × 35) + (35 × 24) + (24 × 60)]
= 2 (2100 + 840 + 1440)
= 2 (4380)
= 2 × 4380
= 8760 cm²
= 8760/10000 m²
= 0.8760 m²

♦ Area of tin sheet required for making 40 such tins,
= T.S.A of 40 tins
= T.S.A of 1 tin × 40
= 0.8760 × 40
= 35.04 m²

♦ Now, cost of 1 m² tin sheet = 25 Rs.

=> Cost of 35.04 m² tin sheet,
= 25 × 35.04
= 876 Rs.

•°• Your answers are -

♥ (i) 35.04 m²
♥ (ii) 876 Rs.
