Hi.

Good question...Keep progressing...

Here is your answer---

______________________________________________
______________________________________________

Given---

Number of Shares = 124
Market Value of One Share(M.V.) = Rs. 66
Nominal Value of One Share(N.V.) = Rs.50

(i) Using the Formula,

     Investment = Number of Shares x Market Value of One Share
     Investment = 124 x 66
     Investment = Rs.8184

Thus, Sum Invested by the man is Rs.8184.

(ii) Rate of Dividend(r%) = 7.5%

Using the Formula,

    Annual Income = Number of Shares x r% x N.V. of One Share
    Annual Income = 124 x (7.5/100) x 50
    Annual Income = Rs. 465

Thus, Annual Income of the man is Rs.465.

(iii) Let the extra number of shares buyed by the men be A
So, new number of shares = (124 + A) Shares.
   Also, new Income = Annual Income + Increased Income
                                  = 465 + 600
                                  = Rs. 1065
Again using the formula,
 Income = New number of Shares x r% x N.V. of One Share
 1065 =(124+A) x(7.5/100) x 50
  284 =  124 + A
  A = 284 - 124
  A = 160

Thus, Extra Number of Shares which the man buys to increase the annual income by Rs. 600 is 160 Shares.
