The sum of a digit of a two digit no is 5. if the digits are reversed , the number is reduced by 27. find the number

the original number will be = 10x+y

the reversed no. will be=10y+x

according to the question,

x+y = 5........1

so,

10x+y -27=10y+x

9x-9y=27

9(x-y)=27

x-y=3......2

substituting values of x we get,

y=5-x

so,

x-5+x=3

2x=8

x=4

so the no. is 41
