b square - 4ac should be greater than 0.....(1)
the equation is (x+1)(x-2) + x = 0
= x square - x - 2 + x=0
=x square -2=0
here b= 0 and a =1 c=-2
by substituting in (1)
we get "o square - 4×1×-2"
=8 which is greater than 0
hence proved
