Since , the new length is 2l but volume(V) of the conductor is constant
→V = 2l× New area of cross section .
→V/2l= New area of cross section .
→A/2 is new area of cross section .
→New resistance = rho × 2l/(A/2)
=4{rho ×l/A}= 4 ohm {using(1)}
