lateral surface area of the room = area of walls

= 2(l+b) x h = 2(17) x 6.5 = 221 sq metre

area of 3 window =3 x l x b =3 x 1.5 x 1 = 4.5sq metre

area of door = l x b =2 x 1.5 = 3 sq metre

area of white washing=221-(4.5+3)=213.5 sq metre

so the cost of white washing the walls

= 213.5 x 3.8

= 811.3 rupees...
