angle of depression=angle of elevation =30°
let the distance bw foot of lighthouse and ship be x
tan30°=100/x
1/root3=100/x
x=100root3

height of light House=100m
let x is the distance b/w light House& ship.
when the angle of depression is 30°from the top of light House. then the angle will be 60° from ship to the top of light House.
so,. tan©=height/distance
tan60°= 100m/x
√3=100/x
x=100/√3
so the distance is 100\√3 m.
