well there is another method to check whether (x-2) is a factor of given polynomial or not ......Put x = 2 in the given polynomial.....You will get 2^3 - 2^2 - 4 ....which when solved gives 'zero' ....therefore x-2 is a factor of the given polynomial.....
is it all right.....
