Diameter of funnel = 14 cm

Radius of funnel = 14/2 = 7 cm

Diameter of cylindrical portion = 2 cm

Radius of cylindrical portion = 1 cm

Height of frustum = 11 - 8 = 3 cm

Slant height l = √h² + (R² - r²)

=> √3² + (7 - 1)²

=> √9 + 36

=> √45

=> 6.70 cm

CSA of frustum = πl(R + r)

=> 22/7 * (6.70) * (7 + 1)

=> 168.45 cm²

Height of cylinder = 8 cm

CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

=> 2 * (22/7) * 1 * 8

=>  50.28 cm²

Area of tin required = 168.45 + 50.28

=> 218.73 cm²
