=> 3x + 3y = 27 ------(1)
and
=> 5x - 3y = 5------(2)
Add (1) and (2)
=> 3x + 3y + 5x - 3y = 27 + 5
=> 8x = 32
=> x = 4
Using in original 1
=> 4 + y = 9
=> y = 5
Thus the numbers are 4 and 5
