often we come across the phases like i took of my hand reflexly

what this really means is that the action that we do without ourselves recognizing it

is called reflex action

this process is called relfex arc

The pathway taken by nerve impulses in a reflex action is called reflex action.
Reflex action is an automatic response to stimuli.
There are two types of reflex arc
1. Spinal reflexes
2. Cerebral reflex
i) First the RECEPTOR receive the stimulus through any sense organ and transmitted through sensory neurons to SPINAL CORD.
ii) From SPINAL CORD it is transmitted to EFFECTOR by motor neuron to muscle and response is given.
Take example of when we accidentally touch a hot plate.
