Plzz tell me uses of metals and non-metals.

-Metals are used for making pan and electric wire because of good conductivity of electricity and heat
-Non metals are used for outer covering of wire and handle of pan because they don't conduct electricity and heat.

Uses of Metals are:-
1. Iron- for making bridges, engine parts, iron sheets, and bars used in construction, Steels etc.

2. Copper- for making electrical wires and cables, utensils, kettles, coin etc. for making alloys.

3. solver- for making jewellery, in electroplating, in photography, silvering of mirror.

4. Gold - for making jewellery, for decorative purpose, in photography for toning.

5. mercury- used in thermometer and barometer

USES OF NON METALS
1. Carbon- in the form of Diamond, it is used for making jewellery, cutting and grinding equipment.

2. sulphur- for the manufacture of gunpowder, sulphuric acid and in vulcanization of rubber.

3. phosphorous- for the manufacture of matchstick, rat poison and phosphoric acid and fertilizers.

4. oxygen- supporter of combustion, for respiration by living organism.

5. nitrogen- for manufacturing Ammonia, nitric acid etc.
