The total area of the internal surface excluding the base
= Area of curved surface of the cylinder + area of curved surface of hemisphere
= 2πrh + 2πr2
= 2×22/7×3.5×7 + 2×22/7×3.5×3.5
= 154 + 77 = 231 m2. [Ans.]
