area of the square = side²
= 7×7
= 49cm²
given the radius of the circle is 3.5cm.
area of one circle = πr²
= 22/7×3.5×3.5
= 269.5/7
= 38.5cm²
therefore area of four circle = 38.5×4
= 154cm²
hence area of the shaded portion = 154-49
= 105cm²
