In triangle BLD and CMD

i) Angle BLD = angle CMD (both are 90°)

ii) BL = CM ( given)

iii) Angle BDL = angle CDM (as they are vertically opposite angles)

So, we can say triangle BLD and CMD are congruent

So,
BD = CD ( by C.P.C.T)

As BC is being dividend into two equal parts by AD in triangle ABC, then AD must be the median of traingle ABC.

TO PROVE= AD is a median
or, AD bisects BC
or, BD = DC
In triangle BLD & triangle CMD. :-
1.Angle BLD = Angle CMD. (90°)
2.BL = CM. ( GIVEN)
3. Angle BDL = Angle CDM ( VERTICALLY OPPOSITE ANGLE )

therefore triangle BLD CONGRUENT triangle CMD

hence , BD = CD ( CPCT)
