Hey there!

Given,

m + n = 3 / 4  ........ (i)

m - n = 1 / 4 .......(ii)

Adding both :

2m = 3 / 4   +   1 / 4

2m = 4 / 4 = 1

m = 1 / 2

Putting value of m in eq. (i):

m - n = 1 / 4

1 / 2  - n = 1 /4

-n = 1/4 - 1 / 2

-n = (1+2) / 4

-n = 3 / 4

n = - 3 / 4

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

n cancels because both have different sign

2m=3/4-1/4

2m=2/4

m=1/4

Now for n put the value of m in any equation and calculate n

n =3/4-1/4

n=2/4=1/2
