if the perimeter of a square is 40cm then the length of each side is 10cm

Given Perimeter of a Square ABCD = 40cm

Required to find= AC^2 + BD^2

we know that... Perimeter of a Square = 4s

(s = side) ..

40cm = 4s

40cm/4 = s

10cm = s...so each side of this Square = 10 cm....

We know that all sides , diagonals of a Square are equal so...

AB = BC = CD = DA = AC = BD

so..all are equal to 10 cm...

So

= AC^2 + BD^2

= 10^2 + 10^2

= 100 + 100

= 200
