Given:-

(a) To Solve Using Elimination Method....

=> 3y-2x = 9

2y-2x = 7

(b) To solve Using Substitution Method.

=> 5x-y = 5

3x+2y = 29

Concept©

(A) In elimnation Method we just eliminate any one of the variable in both equations by making them equal and then subtracting one equation from another.

(B) In Substitution Method we substitute a variable in terms of the other in one equation and then apply its value on other one.

Step by Step Solution

(A) We have, 3y-2x = 9(1) & 2y - 2x = 7(2)

Here,We will eliminate X as it is equal in both equations.......

=> Subtracting (2) from (1)......

=> Y = 2

Substituting Value Of Y in (1)

=> 3(2)-2x = 9

=> 6-2x = 9

=> 6-9 = 2x

=> -3 = 2x

=> X = -3/2 Ans.

(B) We have, 5x - y = 5.(1)& 3x+2y=29.(2)

Here, 5x - y = 5

So, 5x = 5+y

=> X = 5+y/5.

Substituting Value Of X in (2)

=> 3(5+y/5) +2y = 29

=> 15+3y/5 + 2y = 29

=> 15+13y/5 = 29

=> 15+13y = 145

=> 13y = 130

=> Y = 10

Now, X = 5+y/5

=> X = 5+10/5

=>. X = 15/5

So, X = 3.

Therefore, X = 3 And Y = 10.Ans.

Hope It Helps You........ :)
