Hey mate,

Refer to the above attachment ⤴ for your reference,

We know,

Vertical opposite angles are equal,

So,

Angle(now) = 2a

Now,

We know,

The total angle on a straight line = 180°

So,

Angle(nol) + Angle(nop) = 180°

Then,

2a + Angle(nop) = 180°

Angle(nop) = 180° - 2a.... (1)

Now,

We know,

Corresponding angles are equal,

So,

Angle(nop) = b.....(2)

From (1), (2)

180° - 2a = b

We get,

b + 2a = 180°

Hope this helps you out!

In these types of question, you need to know the basic and fundamental properties of a straight line in order to find different angles in the figure.

Only after these, you will instantly be able to find the required angles.
