area of trapezium is \frac{1}{2} h(a+b)

so, h = 9

a = 28

b = 40

\frac{1}{2}(9)(28)(40)

5040 cm^{2}

Cometknight: your answer is wrong
Cometknight: u have multiplied 28 and 40 whereas u just have to add it
MitheshShankar: oh yeah.....my bad...sorry
Cometknight: Its okay................it happens.......even with me

ABCD is a Trapezium

Area of Trapezium= sum of parallel sides* height/2

Height=9cm(it is ⊥(90°⇒perpendicular) to the base )

Two parallel side⇒40cm and 28 cm

So, ⇒40+28*9/2

⇒68*9/2

⇒612/2

⇒306

Therefore area of Trapezium ABCD= 306cm²
