Gills are well developed in Fish whereas Wall Lizards doesn't have Gills. It has lungs for the process of Respiration. So, if we take a fish out of water, it dies due to the function of Gills stops slowly when it taken out from the water. Gills only works when there is presence of water. As you know that Wall lizards belongs to the reptiles family. So, Reptiles have only Lungs for the process of Respiration. If the Wall lizards kept inside the water, it won't yet survive due to the absence of Gills.
