Let x be the length of the 3rd side of the triangle
By Pythagorean theorem
(34)^2 = (30)^2 + x^2
1156 = 900 + x^2
x^2 = 1156 - 900
x^2 = 256
x = 16

Thus the length of the 3rd side of the right triangle is 16 cm

Given :

  • Hypotenuse of a right angled triangle is 34 cm .
  • One side of triangle is 30 cm .

To Find :

  • Length of Other Side .

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Hypotenuse=34\:cm}

\longmapsto\tt{One\:Side=30\:cm}

Now ,

\longmapsto\tt{{(H)}^{2}={(Side)}^{2}+{(Side)}^{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{{(34)}^{2}={(30)}^{2}+{(Side)}^{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{1156=900+{(Side)}^{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{256={(Side)}^{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{\sqrt{256}=Side}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{16\:m=Side}

So , The other Side of Triangle is 16 m ....
