Total egg bought is 100
Total cp is 50 ruppee
1 egg costs is 50/100=1/2=0.5 ruppee
4 egg is broken
100-4=96 eggs are there now
1 dozen = 12 eggs
Total dozen of egg is 96/12. 8
8 dozens are there
So sp of 8 dozen is 8.50
Cp of 1 dozen all be 0.5×12= 6
Gain in 1 dozen is 8.50-6=2.50
Plz follow and mark

Answer:

36%

Step-by-step explanation:

Shubha bought 100 eggs for 50.

Given, Cost price of 100 eggs = 50.

Given that 4 eggs were found to be broken.

So, remaining eggs = 100 - 4 = 96.

Given that he sold the remaining eggs at the rate of 8.50 per dozen.

⇒ Selling price of 1 dozen = 12 eggs = 8.5 .

Then, Selling price of 96 eggs = (96 * 8.5)/12 = 68.

Here, Selling price > Cost price. So, Gain has occured.

∴ Gain = Selling price - Cost price

           = 68 - 50

           = 18.

∴ Gain% = [Gain/CP] * 100

              = [18/50] * 100

              = 36%.

Therefore, Gain percent = 36%.

Hope it helps!
