Pythagoras Theorem

We know that, in a right angled triangle, the square of hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of the other two sides.

 {h}^{2}  =  {p}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}

Where h = hypotenuse

p = perpendicular

b = base

So, by applying Pythagoras Theorem we can easily find sides of a right angled triangle.

Coming to the question :

Given sides :- 15 cm and 20 cm

Applying Pythagoras Theorem , We get

 {h}^{2}  =  {20}^{2}  +  {15}^{2}  \\  \\  =  =  >  {h}^{2}  = 400 + 225 \\  \\  =  =  > h =  \sqrt{625}  = 25 \: cm

Hence , answer is 25 cm

Hope that helps !
