Answer:-

  • Given that Cuboidal Tin box has dimentions .

Concept:-

  • Application of TSA or Total Surface Area.

Let's Do!

  • Given that length is l.
  • Given that breadth is b.
  • Given that height is h.

\boxed{\sf{ TSA \ Cuboid = 2(lb+bh+hl)}}

\boxed{\sf{ TSA \ Cuboid = 2(lb+bh+hl)}} Same, as dimentions given are also same.

  • Now, we need 10 such boxes. So, we will multiply it with 10.

\boxed{\sf{ TSA \ Cuboid = 2(lb+bh+hl) \times 10}}

\boxed{\sf{ TSA \ Cuboid = 20(lb+bh+hl)}} is the required answer.

More to Know:-

  • CSA of a Cuboid is \sf{2(l+b) \times h}
  • Volume is \sf{l \times b \times h}
  • Here, l, b and h are same.

Given :

A cuboidal tin box has dimentions l cm × b cm × h cm

To find :

TSA of metal sheet required to make 10 such boxes

Solution :

We have,

  • Length is l
  • Breadth is b
  • Height is h

Total surface area of cuboid = 2 (lb + bh + hl)

Here,

Total surface area of cuboid = 2 (lb + bh + hl) [ Same, because dimensions given are also same ]

We need 10 such boxes, so, multiply it with 10.

⇒ Total surface area of cuboid = 2 (lb + bh + hl) × 10

⇒ Total surface area of cuboid = 20 (lb + bh + hl)

∴ 20 (lb + bh + hl) is the total surface area of metal sheet required to make 10 such boxes.
