We have,
AP//BQ//CR,
In triangle ABQ and PQB we have,
area(ABQ)=area(PQB). ...1 [ sincetriangles on same base and between same parallels have equal area.]
Similarly in triangle BQC &QBR e get
area (BQC)=area(QBR)....2 [ sincetriangles on same base and between same parallels have equal area.]
On adding eqn 1 & 2 we get,
area(ABQ+BQC)=area(PQB+QBR)
area(AQC)=area(PBR)
Hence, proved.
