First we he assume the root to be 1 then he divide (1+3m-4m) by (1-m) to get the second term.

Given Equation is 1 + 3m - 4m^3 = 0

⇒ 1 + 4m - m - 4m^3 = 0

Add and subtract '4m^2'.

⇒ 1 + 4m - m + 4m^2 - 4m^2 - 4m^3 = 0

Rearrange the terms.

⇒ 1 + 4m + 4m^2 - m - 4m^2 - 4m^3 = 0

⇒ 1(1 + 4m + 4m^2) - m(1 + 4m + 4m^2) = 0

⇒ (1 - m)(1 + 4m + 4m^2) = 0.

Hope it helps!
