With increasing altitude, value of g decreases and since W=mg, weight also decreases. But below the surface of earth, value of g and weight will be the same as on the surface of earth.

1)As we go above the surface or increase height without changing the mass .the height ads up to R of the earth and there is a greater number to divide the product of G×m1×m2 as a result the number would be less compared to only R divided by G×m1×m2 hence as we increase the altitude the force of earth on object decreases .the weight of object decreases
2)as we go below the surface .the part contributing towards the gravity of earth decreases as we come to the core of the earth the distance of R is o therefore as R is 0 the force of earth on object is 0.the weight of object decreases
