here a=a
but b= 1/a
or (a+1/a)²= a²+1(/a)²-2*(1/a)*a
= a²+1/a²-2
=(8+3√7)²+1/(8+3√7)²-2
=(64+63+48√7)+[1/(8+3√7)*{8-3√7/8-3√7}]²
=(64+63+48√7)+[8-3√7/(64-63)]²
As (a+b)(a-b)=a²-b²
= (64+63+48√7)+[64+63-48√7]
=254
