Given:-

  • The sum of three consecutive integers is 5 more than the smallest of the integers.

To Find:-

  • Three Consecutive Integers = ?

Solution : -

\longrightarrow Suppose the three consecutive integers are :-

The First Consecutive integer be a

The Second Consecutive integer be a + 1

The Third Consecutive integer be a + 2

According to the Question :-

\mapsto \sf{a+a+1+a+2 = a + 5}

\mapsto \sf{3a + 3 = a + 5}

\mapsto \sf{3a - a = 5-3}

\mapsto \sf{2a = 2}

\mapsto \sf{a = \dfrac{2}{2}}

\mapsto \boxed{\red{\sf{a = 1}}}

Therefore,

The First Consecutive integer be a = 1

The Second Consecutive integer be a + 1 = 2

The Third Consecutive integer be a + 2 = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

let three interger x , x+1 , x+2

sum = x+x+1+x+2

= 3x +3

then 3x +3 = 5+x

or 2x =2

or x= 1

integers are 1 ,2 and 3
