Can be separated by using solvent method.
Principle— Sulphur dissolves in the solvent i.e. carbon disulphide while carbon doesn’t dissolve.

Can be separated by sedimentation and decantation method.
Principle — sand settles down at the bottom while water is above.

4. Pigments of flower is heterogeneous.
Can be separated by chromatography.
Principle— the principle of chromatography is that molecules in mixture applied into the surface or into the solid, and fluid stationary phase is separated from each other while moving with the help of a mobile phase.
