Let the one angle be a° ,other be (90-a)° [sum of complementary angles is 90°]
then , given

their difference =12°
a - (90 - a) = 12
a - 90 + a = 12
2a = 102
a = 51 ,
(90-a)=90-51
=39

hence required angles are 51° & 39°
(a) is correct
