180 - pqr = 180 -prq
( from linear pair and eq. 1 ).

Since two angles are equal.
Therefore it is an isosceles traingle.
Hence . Angle q = angle p = 70 degree
By angle sum property 70 +70+ x =180
Hence angle p = 40 degree
