How did colonial rule effect Trible chiefs?? ​

The tribal people were badly affected as their basic rights were taken away from them. They were abandoned from entering their own home i. e. the forests. Their livelihood and the only source of some income and livestock was snatched by the Colonial Rulers. They are forced to do begar in forests and were often not given adequate wages.

forests were the abode and the provider of food for the tribals .the tribal cheifs lost many of their administrative powers and to follow the rules which were formulated by the British. they also had to pay taxes to the British.
