(8).

Let the sides be a = 19.5,  b= 30.0cm, c = 31.5.

We know that semi-perimeter of a triangle s = (a + b + c)/2

= > (19.5 + 30 + 31.5)/2

= > 40.5.

We know that Area of triangle by heron's formula:

=> \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

=> \sqrt{(40.5)(40.5 - 19.5)(40.5 - 30)(40.5 - 31.5)}

=> \sqrt{(40.5)(21)(10.5)(9)}

=> \sqrt{80372.25}

=> \sqrt{(283.5 * 283.5)^2}

=> 283.5 cm^2.

Now,

We know that Area of triangle = (1/2) * b * h

= > 283.5 = (1/2) * (31.5) * height

= > 283.5 * 2 = 31.5 * h

= > 567 = 31.5 * h

= > h = 567/31.5

= > h = 18.

Therefore, Altitude = 18cm.

Hope this helps!
