We know that the Area of a Cylinder of radius 'r' and height 'h' is 2πr × (h + r)

Given that the Cistern is in the shape of cylinder.

Let us find the Area of one Cylindrical Cistern.

Given that the Radius of Cylindrical Cistern is 4cm and the Height of the Cylindrical Cistern is 10cm

substituting the above values in the area of Cylinder formula we get :

Area of one Cylindrical Cistern = 2π × 4 × (10 + 4) cm²

Area of one Cylindrical Cistern = 351.85 cm²

So, As the Area of one Cistern is 351.85 cm² then Tin-sheet required to produce one Cistern is also equal to 351.85 cm²

Given that the Total number of Cisterns are 50

⇒ Area of 50 Cisterns = 50 × 351.85 cm² = 17593 cm²

⇒ 17593 cm² of Tin-sheet is required to produce 50 Cisterns.

Given that the Cost of 1m² of Tin-sheet is 200 Rs

We got the Total Area of Tin sheet required to produce 50 Cisterns = 17593 cm²

As it is in cm² we need to convert it into the terms of m² because the cost of Tin-sheet is given in terms of m²

we know that 1m² = (100 × 100)cm² = 10000cm²

⇒ 1cm² = (1/10000)m²

Total Area of Tin sheet required to produce 50 Cisterns = 17593 cm²

Total Area of Tin sheet required to produce 50 Cisterns = 17593 × (1/10000)m²

Total Area of Tin sheet required to produce 50 Cisterns = 1.7593m²

Cost of Total Area of Tin sheet = 1.7593 × 200 = 351.86 Rs.

Anonymous: can you tell me what's the answer?
Anonymous: My answer is correct sis. .351.86 Rs is rounded off to 352 Rs
Anonymous: and i got the total area of tin sheet as 17593 cm sq which is rounded of to 17600 cm.sq
