India is an agricultural country and most of its people live in villages. There are more than five lakh villages in India. Seventy Percent of India’s population lives in villages. The village people are very hard-working. They lead a very simple life. Most of them are engage in agricultural work and animal husbandry. Some of them have small shops in village. They live
in the midst of natural surroundings. People live in huts and kutcha houses here.

In villages we find purity of everything. There is no air pollution or noise pollution. People enjoy natural beauty like sweet singing of birds, sun rise sun set, sweet sound of breeze and flowing rivers and streams.

Life in the village is very hard. There is poverty in villages. The villagers do not have proper mean to make progress. Most of the villages do not have proper amenities like pure drinking water, electricity, sanitation etc. In villages, medical and education facilities are on primary level.  The roads in the villages are dusty.

But recently, joint efforts of government and citizen have changed the scenario of villages. They have most basic amenities like water, education and medical facilities.  It is the duty of the young people of India to help the villagers. They should go to villages and help the people living them.
