\huge{\boxed{\bf{\red{Given }}}}

  • An electric bulb rated 220V and 50W. when it is operated on 110 volt

\huge{\boxed{\bf{\green{To \: Find}}}}

  • what will be the power consumed ?

\huge{\boxed{\bf{\purple{Solution}}}}

Here we have,

  • \bf P_{b} \ = \ 50W
  • \bf V_{b} \ = \ 220V

➦ R = \dfrac{V^2}{P}

\dfrac{220 \ \times \ 220}{50}

968Ω

➦ Power = \dfrac{V^2}{R}

\dfrac{110 \ \times \ 110}{968}

\bf \dfrac{25}{2}

\therefore \:\:\bf\orange{The \ consumed \ power \ = \ \dfrac{25}{2} }Ω

\bf\huge {ANSWER}

Given ,

→ V = 220 V

→ P = 50 W

Resistance of the bulb ,

                        \rm R = \dfrac{V^2}{P}

                            \rm = \dfrac{220\times220}{50}

                            \rm = 968 \ ohm

___________________________________________________________

When , V = 110 V

\rm \longrightarrow P=\dfrac{V^2}{R}

        \rm = \dfrac{110\times110}{968}

        \rm \bf = 12.5 \ W
