10. Simplify:(4x2 - 2x) - (-5x2 - 8x).

(4x2 - 2x) - (-5x2 - 8x)

= 4x2 - 2x + 5x2 + 8x.

= 4x2 + 5x2 - 2x + 8x.

= 9x2 + 6x.

= 3x(3x + 2).
