When more than one man/machine work on a particular work or project, the rate of work is calculated as the strength of workers working in a particular time.

So amount of work = men*days*hours.

Since here work is constant,

M 1 X D 1 X H 1 = M 2 X D 2 X H 2

12 X 14 X 6 = M 2 X 8 X 7

M 2 = 18.

Hence 18 men can complete the same work iñ 8 days, working at 7 hours per day.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

12 men working 6 hr day work in 14 days

X men working 7 hr day work in 8 days

no of men is inversely proportional to the no of hours and also inversely proportional to no of days

12/x = 7 : 6 :: 8 : 14

12/x = 7 x 8 /6 x 14

12/x = 4/6

x= 12 x 6 /4

x= 3 x 6 = 18

Therefore 18 Men required to complete the work in 8 days working 7 hrs per day

HOPE IT HELPS!!!
