Step-by-step explanation:

(x+1)(x+4) = x^2+5x+4

(x+2)(x+3) = x^2+5x+6

let us consider ,

x^2+5x = a

so , (a+4)(a+6)= 120

a^2+10a+ 24=120

a^2+10a=96

a^2+10a-96=0

a^2+16a-6a-96 =0

(a+16)(a-6)=0

so a= -16 or +6

-16 is discriminant so a =+6

x^2+5x = 6

x^2+5x-6=0

x^2+6x-x-6=0

(x-1)(x+6)=0

so x=+1
