Cos theta - Sin theta = ✓2 ( Given)

On squaring both sides we get,

(Cos theta - Sin theta)² = 2 Sin theta

=> Cos²theta + Sin²theta - 2 Cos theta × Sin theta = 2 Sin²theta

=> Cos² theta + 2Cos theta Sin theta = Sin² theta

=> Cos²theta + 2 Cos theta Sin theta + Sin²theta = Sin²theta + Sin²theta [ On adding Sin²theta both sides]

=> (Cos theta + Sin theta)² = 2 Sin²theta

=> ( Cos theta + Sin theta) = ✓2 Sin theta.

Hence,

( Cos theta + Sin theta) = ✓2 Sin theta.

(Cos theta + Sin theta) = ✓2 Sin theta.
