Aerobic respiration is the process in which complex organic macromolecules are broken down into simpler substances in presence of oxygen, and energy is released along with the production of carbon dioxide and water.

➛The respiration, which takes place in the absence of oxygen, is known as anaerobic respiration.

➛It is commonly seen in microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, some parasites and muscle cells.

➛. In anaerobic respiration, in microorganisms, glucose is broken down into ethanol and carbon dioxide with the release of energy. In a muscle cell, lactic acid is the end product of respiration while in plants CO2 and ethanol are formed.

hope it helps you:)
