First time,
distance travelled by the car in 1 hour
=100km
time taken to travel by the car
=2whole 1/2hour =2.5 hour

Second time,
distance travelled by the car in 1 hour
=60 km
time taken to travel by the car
=1whole 1/2hour = 1.5 hour
Total distance travelled by the car =(100+60)km=160km
Total time taken by the car =(2.5+1.5)hour =4hr
Average speed of the car
=total distance travelled/total time taken
=160km/4hour =40km/hr
