In geometry, Thales's theorem states that if A, B, and C are distinct points on a circle where the line AC is a diameter, then the angle ∠ABC is a right angle.

What did Thales find?

Thales is believed to have been the teacher of Anaximander and he is the first natural philosopher in the Ionian (Milesian) School. Thales is also said to have discovered a method of measuring the distance to a ship at sea. Five basic propositions with proofs of plane geometry are attributed to Thales.
