the height of the tower is a constant.

the angle of depression from tower is same as angle of elevation from boat

for first boat angle is 45. we know tan 45 value to be 1.

also we know tan is opposite/base. which will be 75/ by the distance from tower. so

let the distance be x1.

so 1=75/x1

x1=75

for the second boat angle is 30. tan 30 is 1/√3

let the distance from tower to second boat be x2

so 1/√3=75/x2

x2=75√3

now for distance between boats

x2-x1

75√3-75
