Answer:-

Firstly

Defining both distance & Displacement

Distance : Distance means the length or space between the two points .

Examples :-

  • 1. Distance between home to school is 2km
  • 2. We are going to Europe which is 8000 km distance from Hyderabad

Units :-

  • SI. unit : m (meter)
  • Other units : km , dm , mm , cm …etc

Displacement : The shortest distance from initial point to final point or a straight line joining initial point & final point

Examples :-

  • 1. Ive gone by the shortest route to school
  • 2. The shortest route to Hyderabad to Delhi is by plane

Units :-

  • The distance & displacement are measured in the same units
