The term pressure is defined by....

Pressure=force/area

Here Force applied by the block is normal force(gravitational force on body)

which is mass times g = 4 times 10

F= 40N

now area of block by which force is applied is given........

(a) 50 cm & 25 cm = 0.5m & 0.25m

area =(0.5)(0.25)=0.125m^2

pressure =40/0.125=320pa

(b) 25cm &10 cm or 0.25m and 0.1m

area= (0.25)(0.1)=0.025m^2

pressure =40/0.025=1600Pa

(c) 50cm , 10cm or 0.5m , 0.1m

area = 0.05m

pressure=40/0.05=800Pa
